vivo continues to grow the V series with the launch of the new vivo V29e in India.
The vivo V29e is a fancy midrange phone that boasts a color-changing glass on the back. The Artistic Red color, which has a blood-red-like tone, goes darker when it shifts to black once exposed to sunlight or UV light.
There are also diamond accents on the left side, adjacent to the two large lenses that hold the 64-megapixel main camera with OIS and 8-megapixel ultra-wide. Thankfully, vivo spared us from any 2-megapixel sensors that are relatively useless.
On the front, we have a sharp 50-megapixel selfie camera, that’s on top of the premium 6.78-inch curved AMOLED panel with an FHD+ pixel resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
Being a midrange phone, it is powered by the trusty Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and an option between 128GB and 256GB of expandable storage.
As per usual, it will have a large 5,000mAh battery, paired with vivo’s 44W FlashCharge technology.
The vivo V29e has a price of INR26,999 (~Php18,500) for the 8GB/128GB and INR28,999 (~Php19,900) for the 8GB/256GB. It is now up for pre-order in India and will be available starting September 7. No word yet if it’s also coming to the Philippines.
