HONOR subtly made the new HONOR X40 GT Racing Edition. No fanfare was made possibly due to the fact that it’s essentially the same as the standard version that’s been around since October of 2022.
The new HONOR X40 GT Racing Edition comes in two new colors: Black with gold accents and White with hints of green. Both will have stripes in the middle, with Matrix AI Vision Camera branding and what appears to be a brushed metal material for the entire rear panel.
This special model will only come with 12GB of RAM, as the standard version had a cheaper 8GB version. The 256GB and 512GB storage options are the same.
Other than those, the rest of the specs stay the same. It still has a powerful Snapdragon 888 chipset from Qualcomm, a large 6.81-inch screen with a fast 144Hz refresh rate, a 50-megapixel main camera, a 4,800mAh battery, and 66W charging.
The HONOR X40 GT Racing Edition will be available in China for a price of CNY1,799 (~Php14,000) and CNY1,999 (~Php15,600) for the 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB versions, respectively. No word yet if HONOR Philippines will bring it to the country, but we’re not hopeful.
