HONOR continues to expand the Play 40 series by adding a new budget-friendly offering, the HONOR Play 40S.
The new HONOR Play 40S is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ octa-core processor, which means it gets to have 5G connectivity. It is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
On the front, we have a low-resolution 6.56-inch TFT LCD display with 1612 x 720 pixels. On the upside, HONOR threw in a high 90Hz refresh rate to make things smoother.
At the back, we have a waterdrop notch for the 8-megapixel camera for selfies. On the back, it only comes with a single 13-megapixel shooter.
One of its key features is the marginally bigger 5,200mAh battery, albeit is only paired with a 10W charger.
Besides 5G, connectivity features include dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.1.
The HONOR Play 40S has a price of CNY999 (~Php7,800) in China. No word yet if it will be available in other markets.
