It looks like Epson has just reinvented the projector scene. Their new product, the Epson LightScene, is completely different from the usual projector we have always known.

The Epson LightScene EV-100 series is not your typical projector. It’s not meant to stay in your entertainment center and watch movies with it. This thing is meant for industrial use such as in retail, restaurants, etc. In places where visuals and customer-appeal are really important.

The projector itself looks like a track light. And for those who are not familiar, those are the tiny lights you usually see in restaurants or museums where it tries to highlight a particular object or picture.

That’s pretty much what the Epson LightScene aims to do. It aims to add extra spice to your store displays by not just lighting it up, but by adding other visual touches with its projector function. This projector comes with a 3LCD laser technology, so it can last for up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation.

It also has 2,000 lumens of color and has different input options such as HDMI, LAN, and WiFi. It also has a microSD card slot so you can just plug-and-play content right from the device.

The Epson LightScene EV-100 series comes with a Content Manager filled with templates and what not so you can hit the ground running once you get it. And since it’s supposed to be installed in high and hard to reach locations, you can control it remotely via a computer or any smart devices using the Epson Web Control program.

As of writing, Epson has not announced the official pricing and availability of these products here in the Philippines.
