GCash, one of the leading e-wallet apps in the Philippines, has recently launched GJobs in collaboration with PasaJob. This partnership aims to provide jobseekers with a convenient and efficient way to search for employment opportunities directly through the GCash app. In addition to this, the GJobs feature also allows users to earn money by referring job openings to their friends or network.

GCash’s Chief People Officer, Robert Gonzales, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating that their partner, PasaJob, is the only platform in the Philippines that allows people to apply for a job while also giving you an opportunity to earn money through referrals.

Successful hires through referrals can earn the referrer a reward of Php2,000. This unique feature encourages users to actively participate in sharing job listings and helps companies reach out to potential candidates more effectively.

Gonzales mentioned that currently, most of the job listings on GJobs are from medium and large companies. However, the goal is to attract more Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the future. By providing a user-friendly and accessible platform, GCash envisions supporting the growth of the job market for both employers and jobseekers.

Furthermore, GCash itself is not only offering job opportunities to others but is also expanding its workforce. With a current employee count of 1,700, the company plans to increase its workforce by an additional 20 percent in the coming year. This growth reflects GCash’s commitment to providing reliable and innovative financial services to its users.

GCash started as an e-wallet primarily used for payments but has since evolved into a comprehensive financial app. The introduction of features such as savings, investments, loans, and now job listings underscores the company’s ambition to become a super app.
